5 Fics From an Outsider POV

I love seeing Our Heroes and Our Buffyverse from the outsiders' points of view. Here are five fics that do just that, with quite varied results.

AKA What the Poor Souls on the ISS Saw During Buffy Comics #34. Hilarious; unmissable.

2. Tentatively, by deird1

Sophie from work, watching the life of one Buffy Summers from the outside. Short but sweet; I love any hint of Buffy having friends during S6.

3. The Barter Economy, by bobthemole
post-stuff
A half-demon ferryman takes a lovely (if otherworldly and sometimes nonsensical) vampiress up the Amazon. What follows is pure delicious horror in the unironic sense.

4. They Also Serve, by rahirah
Barbverse
Sunnydale and Spike/Buffy from the perspective of a waitress at the local diner, written with all Barb's usual flourishes and insights.

5. Unqualified Applicant Need Not Apply, by angearia
post-Chosen
An average girl gets Called by the Slayer spell. Bummer. This fic would not in any way be a critique of TV casting choices or the view of feminine worth by the culture at large. Nope. Not at all.
