Hi,
and here are five of the most imaginative buffyverse fics I have ever read; most recent first; funniest last - again :-)
(metem) Psychosis by mabus101 (Alt-S6)

Date: 2010-11-01 04:13 pm (UTC)ALL five are permanently on my shortlist for the greatest fanfics ever. The first and fourth amongst some the greatest short fiction I have EVER read. Check out some of Deird!'s fics and I could list a half dozen within a half hour of searching.
And all because of a very badly mangled script from a movie that very nearly disappeared un-noticed.
It's ironic that it took Tara being killed off for me to start writing again myself!

Date: 2010-11-01 04:17 pm (UTC)I remember the first time I read all of these fics, and thinking in every case that it was so tragic that they will never be read by the greater SF community; those that read Amazing Stories etc... They are all deserving of being professionally published.
Stands very firmly with his arns across his chest, nodding vigorously.

Date: 2010-11-01 06:45 pm (UTC)if you checkout The Sunnydale Slayers website, there's oodles of great fic all over the place. And those guys were in there right from the very, very start of BtVS, not late arrivals like me :-)
I'm a bit like the Americans. I might arrive late, but then the party doesn't really get going 'til I'm there.
:-)

Date: 2010-11-03 06:42 pm (UTC)and, without wishing to fluff mabus101's ego too much - ;~} - with minimal changes it's as good as any short fiction story I read in any of the SF Story Mags I read growing up.
The second fic was the first that EVER made me think positively about Wesley, and the last was the first story I read that made me smile about Willow & Tara after Seeing Red aired and I hit W/T fan groups for someone to share my sense of mourning.
And TechSupport is just superbly imaginative isn't it?
And The Waking? Well, as with (metem) psychosis, it stands up very well indeed against the SF writers I grew up reading.
