So I’m a big fan of the trying to dissect my way through the relationships within the Fanged Four. Therefore I wanted to try and list My Five Favourite Fanged Four Moments in 2005, listed alphabetically.

Item Title or Description: “Come Undone – a photo homage to Spike and Angel”

Why I chose this: Ok so this was made for me, but it’s just so beautiful to look at, one of the best visual studies of the four characters I've seen. And it's wonderful to be reminded all over again of why the characters remain so strong for us. As well, the lyrics fit well to the pictures, and really intensify the moment or expression.

Item Title or Description: “Daddy's girl”

Why I chose this: A fascinating insight into how Angelus and Drusilla interact with each other and cause (delicious) mayhem for the rest of us. What I most enjoyed about this piece of meta was how many similarities you start to notice between the two.

Why I chose this: An AU fic that places the Fanged Four at the height of pre-WW2 Berlin, sumptuous in detail but also very knowing about the interconnecting facets of the relationships between the four. Plus Spike and Angelus sneaking off to watch Nosferatu at the cinema is absolutely worth the giggle.

Item Title or Description: “Singing Our Little Songs - Why Dru and Spike?”

Why I chose this: An extremely interesting and erudite investigation of Drusilla and her relationships with the three most important people around her. peasant_ asks the very simple question “Why Dru and Spike, instead of Dru alone?” and comes up with some fascinating insights.

Item Title or Description: “Welcome to the Future – The Master in the Buffyverse”

Why I chose this: Taking a character not often discussed or written about but intrinsically important to not only the Fanged Four but also most of the other members of the Jossverse, this essay brings the character to life and offers a different reading on what you might expect to consider about the Master. Exceptionally well-researched and explained.

Thanks :) I hope you found something you enjoyed. Yeah, stir_of_echoes does have this amazing ability to find exactly the right picture for the phrase, doesn't she? I'm pretty sure you caught the one about Spike/Buffy didn't you?

What I was trying to say is that besides Spangel, Fanged Four is the reason I'm in this fandom. I always like the vampires better than the humans and I usually end up cheering for them.

I just love kidcyclone. She has such a unique take on things and I like her little fanged four world that keeps the family together.

I haven't read "Come Undone", but will definitely check it out. Sounds like a good rec!
