One of the most original and hilarious fics I've read. Giles and Xander are compelled to accept their new role as a demon's dollhouse toys, in order to avoid being eaten. delilah's brain is a strange and wonderful place.

Giles doesn't seem happy in their relationship, and Xander doesn't know how to fix it. Willow's withdrawn as well, but Xander seems to do better with her. The atmosphere is cool and distant; the fic is sad and lovely. This one will linger in your mind.

This was lovely. Speaking as someone who spends a lot of time travelling, passing through many airports, cmk has nailed it. The warmth of friendship and awkwardness of goodbyes, and threading through, the relationship building in those rare, sentimental moments.

Mireille knows how to nail the awkwardness of this pairing, and that makes this a great first time. It's not a miraculously perfect coming together: it's two caring, nervous guys figuring their way towards a common (awesome) goal. I love Xander's sense of wonder.
I really struggled with the fifth... There are other good fics, and I wanted to go with all different authors... but I can't not rec this.
Puns Involving the Word 'Watcher'

What can I say, I have a weakness for wankfic. It's hot. This is what a PWP is supposed to be: it's porntastic, of course, but it's entirely about the characters: this is about how Giles gets off, and about how Xander feels watching Giles get off. This is Xander thinking about Giles wanking while watching Giles wanking. It's the difference between wanking as performance art, and wanking as self-pleasure. Mostly, it's simply hot.
(Warning: Underage references. Everyone in the story is fully adult, but Xander briefly imagines stuff when they weren't.)
