deird1, Just the Four of Us: complicated, ambitious, waaay outside the author's comfort zone (or so she writes, anyway), and she pulls it off beautifully.


lily_lovely, Very Secret Diary of Andrew Wells (O Captain My Captain Remix). Angstiest angst in the world: it has fun, laughter, sweetness, and then it hits you like a thousand hammers. Mainly OCs, we know them so briefly, but by the end, we are dying for them.

antennapedia, Echoes in the Air: the Pistolwhip Remix. Yeah, I'm biased, this one was written for me. But it's a thing of beauty, early Ripper roughness and fear, a real feel for London, and a sinister yet believable Council too.

aadler, Family Skeletons, a cavalcade of all the dirty washing of the Buffyverse spilling out in a single baaaad day.

deird1, Waiting Game; not technically a remix, but a timestamp fic based on the author's original. Still, it shares a lot with the remix genre, not least timeslippage and interweaving the text of the original with the new work. Beautifully painful too, and a fitting tribute to the lost.
