These would be for
brutti_ma_buoni, who specifically requested them, except that I'm fairly sure she's read them all already (not to mention having written two of them herself). Alas. There clearly just isn't enough F/G or F&G fic out there...
All post-series.
Alambic Brandy, by
antennapedia - F/G
Some monster-hunting, an abandoned cabin in winter, a fireplace, bandaging, and brandy. Some quiet F/G time. Beautifully written and with perfect character voices, as is to be expected with
antennapedia.
Attack of the Eight-Foot Peanut, by
ubiquirk - F&G gen
Short and silly, but entirely in-character for Faith, Giles, and our ever-cracky Buffyverse.
Vacation (All I Ever Wanted), also by
ubiquirk - F&G gen
Pretty much what it says. While they're Steed&Peel-ing it, Giles promises Faith a vacation. Eventually, she gets one. More poignant and less fluffy than it sounds.
Breaking the Rules, by
brutti_ma_buoni - F/G
The fic that started a 'verse! At first I had a lot of trouble deciding which of the many Rulesverse fics to choose, but these stolen glimpses of the awkward, unsaid, yet desperately earnest Faith/Giles as it first develops, was a given. One of the things I love about F/G is that they're both so emotionally prickly and so wary of opening themselves up that even what ought to be the sappy, fluffy moments aren't, quite. Except underneath, which just makes it better. That's what
brutti_ma_buoni illustrates so beautifully here.
The Grit in the Oyster, also by
brutti_ma_buoni - F/G
The trials and travails of a Watcher, a Slayer, and family life. Includes babysitter-hunting and labor-room conversations. Pretty much the best possible F/G kidfic fluff.
