Some authors are long gone from the Buffyverse fandom, but thanks to LJ memories and the Wayback Machine, we can still enjoy their wonderful work.

I would hope that most people reading this will have heard of Anna S, or [livejournal.com profile] eliade, but if not, here are links to some of the hidden gems in her LJ memories, picked more or less at random, because they are all just so good you could choose any of them. They're all m/m slash and don't always have proper titles, and the ratings are mine, not [livejournal.com profile] eliade's.

I Seem to be Weirder Than Usual. Spike/Angel, R.
Spike/Angel was not [livejournal.com profile] eliade's favourite pairing, but needless to say, she wrote it supremely well.

The One in the cave. Spike/Xander, NC17. A funny, plotty, beautifully written excuse to get Spike and Xander to have sex for the first time.

Emerging, Spike/Xander, post series, PG-13-R. No sex in this one, just character stuff, and it's wonderful.

Reprise Spike/Riley, NC17. Spike/Riley was another of [livejournal.com profile] eliade's favourite pairings. Hard to write convincingly, but this is [livejournal.com profile] eliade we're talking about.

Friday Night Avoidance Writing Spike/Wesley, R. A strange little piece which only hints at how the relationship between Wesley and a damaged Spike might have begun and evolved. Beautiful and evocative and just a bit uncomfortable. Have to admit, if I had never read this, I might never have appreciated the potential of the Spike/Wesley pairing.

And for those of you who want more, thanks to the wonders of the Wayback Machine, [livejournal.com profile] eliade's website has been archived here. It includes all her long Spike/Xander fics, plus her sadly uncompleted magnum opus Season Noir, which features the whole BtVS cast.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tiashome for the heads up.

I hope we never forget her brilliance. And that she's happy wherever she is and whatever she's doing.

She's one of my favorite Spander writers. Sideline is in my top ten fave fics. I haven't read all her stuff. Excited to read Emerging, thanks for reccing her.

It's already fixed - I just finished reading "Emerging" and enjoyed it greatly.

I looked through her LJ - Liik like she wrote all her fics pre-2006, and by that time I've been reading only het stories (mostly Spuffy). I blame [livejournal.com profile] lusciousxander on seducing me with Spike/Xander ideas. :)

Thank you again for the recs!

Oh wow, yes. I was addicted to Season Noir. Such a shame she never finished it. Many thanks for the reminder.

I thought I'd read everything by her, so I'm delighted to be shown new (to me) gems. I'm a big fan.

Oh, I haven't read her for years, but she was one of the first and best authors I ever found (goodness knows how I did find her, actually, but delighted I did). Thanks for the reminder, and I may well have missed some of the fragments so double thanks for the links.
