Note to Xander and Giles' fans: in the beginning these characters are very harsh and distrustful toward Spike, but their attitude gradually changes.

PG-15, post-Chosen, general, main pairing is Buffy/Spike. After the Slayers are activated, the balance between good and evil is disturbed, and the Scoobies are flung to the far corners of the world to respond to the crisis. In the midst of all of this, will they be able to keep their relationships strong? Or will they be divided by circumstances and torn apart by fate?

A New Dawn by kallysten
NC-17, alternate season 5. Instead of transforming The Key into Buffy's sister, monks turn her into Buffy and Spike's daughter. Using this premise, Kallysten rewrites season 5 with all its twists adapting it to this new situation.

Persephone by botias
NC-17, alternate season 2. To prevent the apocalypse, Buffy and Spike have to perform the rite of Persephone. (Yes, the rite does include sex. Lots and lots of sex). Writer's note: "The whole point is for virginal season 2 Buffy to get it on with ebol, unchipped season 2 Spike". ETA: botias plans to continue the story - thanks, lynnalso!)

Completed, PG-13, post-Chosen. Buffy/William. "I wish that Spike was back with me. The way he was before he died." ...Three months after Chosen Andrew and his team of slayers found the amulet in the crater and sent it to Buffy. It proved to be a wish-fulfilling mojo and now Buffy has to face William Pratt while he has to deal with the new world he discovers.

That may be a bit of misdirection, sorry. The last posted chapter sounds like a nice logical conclusion of the story and she didn't update since summer so I decided chapter 10 was the conclusion . But I checked her later non-fic posts and she mentioned that she planned to continue the story. So, hopefully...
But even if she won't the current ending sounds nice and satisfying.
