5 Must Watch Spike-Centric Fanvids

Characters: Spike, Angel, Buffy, Dru, others.
Why: For me, it's one of the best Spike fanvids I've seen in a long, long time. Not only is the song AWESOMECAKES (lurve!), it also describes Spike's story in perfect clarity. From Drusilla's abandonment to Buffy's many beatings, Spike has taken a hit or two. He's been mistreated and thrown away, no matter how much he longs to be accepted (as told in the summary). This vid captures the pain of being Spike through most of BTVS in stark clarity. As a Spike fan, it is tremendous love.

Edit: Fixed Charmax's vid link thanks toyourlibrarian. Looking at the LJ post, I noticed it was made in 2007. Doh! Oh well, it's still a good vid!

Top Five Perfect 2008 Fics
Jan. 6th, 2009 08:45 pmlusciousxander.livejournal.com1- Surfacing by only_passenger: Post-S6, Buffy and Xander drink their sorrows away. The most believable Buffy/Xander fic EVER. Even those who vomit at the mention of those two together were in awe at how perfect this fic is. It had appealed to so many different tastes that it deserves its place at #1 best 2008 fic.

Five favourite Buffyverse crossovers.

For convenience I've gone for stories that are archived at Twisting The Hellmouth, home of the Buffyverse crossover, and Fanfiction.net, but in most cases you'll find the author on Livejournal too.
NB - edited to replace a couple that weren't posted in 2008.
The Return of the Key bycuriouswombat - Dawn ends up in Middle Earth post the War of the Ring and finds love. Buffy is not happy about it.
