(1) Scooby Road by
sockkpuppett - All – is quite an enormous file that is only available a little longer, so if you’re interested you should check it out now. In case you haven’t already heard of it, it is a vid done to the entire Beatles “Abbey Road” album, a series of character events and vignettes that covers all of BtVS. I don't know if anyone's attempted something like this before, but I'm glad it's been done for this fandom! I especially loved the theme of "Here Comes the Sun" but I think the words "stupendous piece of work" apply to the whole thing.
(2) Memories by
sadiquechienne - All - A merging of past and present, Buffy’s life and fate are poignantly revealed. It’s hard not to feel for her here as we know everything she is to go through. Beautifully lyrical even if there are no lyrics.
(3) ing by
laurashapiro - All - is just a love song to Anya. It is wonderfully cut with seamless clips. The rather cheerful tone of the song is pretty welcome given that Anya’s arc wasn’t a particularly happy one in the end, despite her overall humorous contribution to the show. The tone of the music keeps things light and restores some of that comedic tone to some less than happy events.
(4) Counting Bodies - by
millylicious – Teen – I find this hard to watch as it is an unflinching look at Connor from beginning (pre-birth even) to when his memories reappear. But it is wonderfully done and, to me, the fact that it’s not an easy view means it succeeded in showing how Connor’s life was nasty, brutish and very nearly short.
(5)Struggle by
sockkpuppett - All - is a smoothly done look at Lindsey and the road he followed. A fitting ending as well, and as a plus she’s discussed the vid here.

Date: 2006-01-06 04:30 pm (UTC)It really is in a class of its own at this point, each of those vidlets would have been worth reccing on their own. I was really impressed in the medley with how themes were repeated in a very organic manner. The whole thing is rather like a video sampler -- episode recaps, character pieces, series arcs, the whole shebang.

Date: 2006-01-06 04:16 pm (UTC)Yes, the file is large enough I felt a warning was needed! Ever since I went to broadband vids have only taken a few minutes to download and this took far longer. I think you'll find it was worth it though :>
