There are so many talented authors in the buffy verse - and here's a writing pair that turns out fantastic works, whether they're writing the fic together or seperately.  Here's an assortment of the fantastic things they gave us to read this year....

1.  Everything Xander Knows About Time Travel (He Learned From Back To The Future)
(Giles/Xander, FRAO) by soft_princess and mireille719
Summary:  Xander has to go back in time, to the 1970s, to retrieve an artifact that will save the world.  Guess who he finds there?
Why should you read this?  It's a great back in time story, and of course there's some interesting encounters between Xander and the guy who calls himself Ripper!

2. Conspiracy Theory (Giles/Xander, FRC) by soft_princess and mireille719
Summary: When Xander is attacked by a demon on his way to deliver a trio of young Slayers to England, he and Giles find themselves investigating a plot that may threaten the Council's very existence--and re-evaluating their relationship in the process.
Why should you read this?  Adventure story!  (kinda)  Mystery!  (really fun and well done)  Post-chosen Giles/Xander (definitely)!

3.  Vegas, NV (Giles/Xander, FRAO) by soft_princess
Summary: AU - Xander is a carpenter specializing in bookshelves and related work for a well-respected Californian company trying to go worldwide; Giles is a librarian on the verge of getting sacked because of his lack of 'people-skills'. They meet at a convention.
Why should you read this?  Want hotness?  Want sexy weekend hotel sex?  Want cuteness and some kind of lovely connection?  Want a little daddy kink thrown in for good measure?  This fic is SO for you! (and me)

4.  Regency AU (Giles/Xander, FRT overall) by mireille719
Summary:  A regency romance with Giles/Xander at the center.
Why should you read this?  Every time I read a new installment of this fic I have the biggest grin on my face.  Mir is so fantastic, not only with the ideas for the story, but with the way she writes everything.

5. The Full Xander Harris Experience (Xander/Larry, FRT) by mireille719
Summary: "We hang out," Xander said. "And then you'll understand that I'm completely serious when I tell you that I am one hundred percent, completely and totally, straight." / "You're one hundred percent, completely and totally, insane."
Why shouldl you read this?  It's wonderful, brillaint, adorable, sweet, and kind of fantastic.  I would've never touched Xander/Larry without Mir's writing to guide me along.

I think that's one of the best things about finding favorite authors -- they get you to try new areas of the fandom and new kinds of fic. It's a win-win!
