dawnofme wrote her first Spuffy fic
Unreal Together last fall. (NC-17, post-Grave. Spike finds out that Buffy has been sired by Drusilla)
bibliophile_42 writes for many fandoms; among other, she wrote
several Spuffy stories - some angsty some fluffy, all powerful.
winsomeone wrote a very original LJ debut
Riders in which Buffy and Spike set off on the trail of a killer and wind up in alternate dimension 1870’s Nevada trying to prevent the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from rising.
hello_spikey hello_spikey entered the fandom with Spuffy and slash fiction. Her
Untitled Spuffy fic is definitely a highlight. Post-Innocence. Buffy takes Spike as a hostage in hope to lure Angel into a trap but turns out he doesn't care. Poor Buffy has to endure a very annoying vampire whom she can't bring herself to slay. Deliciously snarky character study with incredibly funny, sparkling dialogues.
Her other Spuffy fics are
here.
novin_ha wrote a great character study
Hang Up the Chick Habit about Buffy and Spike running into one another in Lisbon (PG-13. Post-NFA) The author is Polish, but her grasp of English is amazing.

I'm always so impressed by this. I speak a few other languages but I'd dread the thought of having to write in them.

Several years ago I dreaded the idea of writing in English. But I gradually overcame my fear.
I think BtVS fandom is one of the most multi-languaged ones. Just days ago I witnessed

*g* It's always fun to see how a request for help can generally turn up someone who knows about a topic no matter what it is!

Date: 2008-01-20 10:36 pm (UTC)It's so pleasing to see new writers in the fandom. I've got the impression that BtVS is very popular on DVD and the majority of the new writers have watched the show on discs.

Date: 2008-01-21 12:09 am (UTC)I'd also definitely second hello_spikey's work. That untitled Spuffy is a hoot, and I just read through her WIP "The Mad Queen of Cleveland" last night, which may not end up Spuffy, but is definitely worth a look.

Buffyverse is so big that sometimes I discover an author who is new to me and then I find out that he\she is writing BtVS fanfiction for ages! :)
