Did you guys ever read this (http://theohara.livejournal.com/162286.html)? It's a review/fanwank of As You Were-quite funny in places and makes the episode make sense. It wasn't written last year but I like to rec it whenever I come across discussions of that episode.

Yes, it's a brilliant essay! I read it back in 2004, and I enjoyed rereading it now. The comments are also very interesting!

I vaguely remember a fic written from Riley's POV, as an entry in his diary, where he confesses doing something similar.

EDIT: However, I wish you'd noted that last one as Spuffy; I got partway through and had to quickly run away due to serious squickage. Eep! *g*

Unfortunately, Mahaliem said this was her last BtVS fic. *le sigh*. Hopefully she'll reconsider. She wrote fantastic stories (althouth I can't recommend them to you because the overwhelming majority of her fics are Spuffy-friendly :)

Really, the story is hysterical - for me, at least. Because as soon as you start to delve into the situation it becomes more and more absurd. And irresistiby funny.

I edited the rec and elaborated that the first link leads to part 1 and the second - to part 2. I tried to find both parts in the same place but failed.

I noticed that another exodus to IJ has started during my absence. I was away on my New Year vacation and when I came back I noticed that some people has relocated to IJ. Obviously I missed another LJ kerkuffle.
