My Top 5 Buffy/Giles or Buffy and Giles stories of 2005

1. headrush100's Equilibrium
Pairing: Buffy and Giles
Headrush is always one one my favorite writers. She uses great characterizations and her stories always ring true. Equi;ibrium is set in Season 5 and basically Buffy and Giles spend an evening talking, an activity which sometomes can be fraught with danger.

2. Unbreakable by KOALA
Pairing: Buffy/Giles
This is an epic WIP that if you have not checked out you should. Koala redoes season 5 with Buffy and Giles married. What I like about it that not everrthing goes perfectly. It is very engaging.

3. Hold Me by Susan MD
Pairing: Buffy and Giles
This is an excellent story. It sounds kinda of cliche but it really is very good. Giles and Buffy become trapped in a cave and talk,

4. penwiper26 Strictly Library
Pairing: Buffy and Giles
Thsi is a very sweet short story that has Giles teaching Buffy how to dance.

5. wickedfox Regarding Rupert
Pairing: Mostly Buffy and Giles friendship but has hints of B/G.
In most of her stories wickedfox transforms Giles into something: a vampire, a ghost or something else supernatural and usually distirburing. In this case she follow the premiss of the movie Regarding Henry. Giles suffers brain injuries after getting hit on the head one too many times and completely forgets who he was. This is his struggle to reconile his past with his present with Buffy's help.

I really liked the manip for Regarding Rupert, it was nicely done. It's great that you have a variety of shorter and longer fic here for this pair.

I love me a bit of real Giles, especially non-slash, non-shipper (in the strictest sense of the term), so it was good to see this entry and start with the delightful 'Strictly Library'.

To be honest, I haven't read much Buffy & Giles or even Buffy/Giles so I'm glad you're able to point me in the direction of some of the good ones.

Yeah, actually anything by penwiper26 is good. She mostly writes gen or Giles/OC.
