Five Favourite pieces of fanart

There are still some superb fanartists finding inspiration in the Buffyverse. The following are just a few examples of their work but, if you haven't come across them before, I urge you to go and look at more for yourselves and am sure you won't be disappointed (or at least I hope not. I understand that art is a very subjective thing). I've stuck with worksafe ones only for this post.



First one of tamakin's superb Spike pictures. I have no idea how she does what she does but I hope she keeps on doing it.

Soul Searcher

Now two by Zugma, uglybusiness, the queen of Buffyverse fanartists. Everything she produces is just wonderful and her site well worth exploring. She works in other fandoms too, including Harry Potter, Supernatural and Dexter.

Next one by sueworld2003, another superlative fanartist who covers a wide range of styles and subject matters, though her principal focus is Spike.

Spike as Watcher

katekat1010 is another very talented fanartist. The link will take you to a selection of five different pieces, two Buffy pictures (one of which is marginally NWS), one Cordy, one Giles and one Spike/Tara. They all have a strange dreamlike, almost Twin Peaksian, quality that makes the image linger in your mind for a long time. The backgrounds are just amazing.

That must have been one of the hardest lists I have seen - so much great art work - but some good choices there - well done

I know. It was very difficult so really what I've posted here is more in the nature of signposting, I guess. Hopefully, people will like what they see enough to go and look at more.
