Heee! I love that one by fanbot. You really could see Spike saying that! And I think I had that killmebecomeme icon for a while.
I think with really good icons and artwork such as these they do such a good job to inspire people to write fic. And, of course, that works vice versa.

Oh, yeah. The angsty icons I reced previously post Gift inspired a lot of the pain in Forbidden, which I started writing again after a break. I think its my angstiest fic and its all based on cannon pain. Those icons influenced me. Art really does. Often if you see a really sexy icon of a ship you'd not considered, it opens it up for you.
