These are my favorite stories for when I just want the satisfaction of a multi-chaptered fic that can be read and savored.



5. Manifest Destiny by uisge_beatha. An ancient coin, a pissed off vampire, and a Slayer with an attitude are not mixy things.

4. Journeys by Mary.
Post-The Gift, this is an alternate version of Spike's journey.

3. The Cloak of Mist by speakr2customrs. The Isle of Man, 1014 AD, a mixed Celtic and Viking community. In the aftermath of the slaughter at the Battle of Clontarf, with the islanders mourning their dead and anxious for the missing, a new Slayer must face a horde of undead Vikings to free the island from a dreadful curse. Post-The Gift. Giles and Spike team up to stop an apocalypse.

Bonus Rec. Double Spiked by kantayra.
Post-Gone. S2 Spike meets S6 Spike and they're both involved with Buffy. Time travel with a twist. NC-17.

Oh, wow, what a nice surprise! I'm honored to be in such wonderful company....let's hope I can find the time to add some more chapters to MD this month and make it even longer LOL.

I love longfics. I think that, especially when you're starting out in a fandom and really want to immerse yourself there's nothing like them.

Did Journeys ever get its conclusion?

I don't know if she ever finished the rewritten final fic in the series, but she did put up an unpolished draft of where the story was going.
