1. Kyrie Eleison - by Kyra Cullinan – All – A brief but interesting take on Angelus’s obsession with the church and his spiritual compass. Came across this originally on club_joss

2. Damage Done by chrisleeoctaves -NC-17 – What if Angel and Riley’s encounter in S4 wasn’t the only one? Wonderful characterizations of both.

3. Up All Night by entrenous88 - NC-17 – This is what every PWP should be. Not only did it make me love a pairing that’s not one of my usual choices, but it had humor, hotness, and an imperfect encounter. Terrific Angel/Xander. There are a few other fics in the series as well.

4. Troika by rahirah - PG-13 – A look at S/A/B by S/A/B. Really gets to the heart of things in 3 drabbles.

5. Shanshu Blue by germaine_pet - R – It's actually not about Angel, and yet it is, all of his blue-eyed boys.

I'm very partial to Damage Done. It's a brilliant piece of work, IMO. Angel/Riley is one of the few slash pairings that don't really work, and the author did a wonderful job with it.

Well Riley in general doesn't get much of a break in most stories. Even the ones where he's not some villain or total idiot, he isn't explored much. So, yeah, lots of reasons to enjoy it!

you know, i went through my saved things, and all of them are from 2007, so i can't do this week's thing. :/ but the good news is: i'll have lots of recs for december! \o/

*g* I have much the same problem as I had a number of lists for our Classic session last year, but haven't been reading much older fic this year so I haven't got a lot of material. Like you, I am prepping various 2007 ones. We'll need them then too so it's all good!
