4- Underneath This Shroud by ladycat777: Post-NFA. Xander buries his face there, unable to really breathe from their shared warmth, her fingers in his hair, her other arm loosely curling over his shoulder. “I’m sorry,” she says.

5- Last Memory of Sunnydale by fiareynne: Buffy and Xander just before the end of Sunnydale, reliving old memories and making a good one.

Just dropped by the second one. Even if they weren't sure what was to happen, I'm sure they had the idea the Sunnydale they'd known was gone for good. I could see that wish there.

Punchline was fabulous. Xander is so important to Buffy that I have a hard time seeing him getting ll mixed up in her sexuality - I think that would be hard for her, later, when she's kinda picked up the instinct that sexulaity = bad things happening to important relationships in her life. But Puchline comes at just the right time. It's such a sweet what-might-have-been.

I love Punchline. I was shocked when I saw that I placed it in the fourth place, I had intended for it to be in the second place. I fixed that now. :)

You gotta read Punchline. It's really good. And I've always been a fan of #1. :)
