These are just a few BA fics that were written in 2006 that I loved

1. Denouement by biggrstaffbunch-This is a nice future fic with a great Buffy voice and a wonderful hopeful (not happy) ending.



2. The Never-Conquered Conquerors by trixiefirecra Trixen always uses such beautiful words and images in her stories. This is no exception. This is an immediately post NFA story.


3. 5 Names Angel called Buffy by a2zmom I always love the 5 things fics. They're like little glimpses into what might have been. This is a lovely look at that.

4. Rainy Day by leni_ba Leni writes fantastic BA. She takes the angst and the pain and uses it but always leaves it a little hopeful and a little bit fluffy.

5. And to end it something that I'm not entirely sure counts but should leni_ba's Courting Sin Verse It's a huge verse of ficlets with Buffy/Angelus going on the idea that Angel's soul was never returned in s2. The reason I say it might not count is because it was started in 2005 but the stories are still being written as currently as December of 2006. Leni writes an amazing Buffy/Angelus and that's very difficult to do and maintain and keep it believable but she does a great job of it. She makes you love and hate Angelus all at the same time. Following the verse from start to finish (which you need to do) you see the changes Angelus brings to Buffy, the way he grooms her without her hardly realizing it's being done. If you haven't checked it out and you liked the interaction between Angelus and Buffy in s2 at all, you need to check this verse out.

Thanks for the list, it sounds like a nicely rounded group of fics. And the stories don't have to be finished, just actively posting in 2006 so #5 is just fine.
