2010 Session Now Closed

The heartiest of thanks to everyone who took part this year, both contributors posting great stuff and commenters cheerleading posters on and starting up fun conversations. Obviously no community can continue on without people making the effort to join in, and we would never have reached our five-year milestone without everyone who has over the years.

Special thanks to our community co-mod, petzipellepingo who has worn that hat since the day we launched, and who I've leaned on particularly heavily during this round while I was under the weather.

For anyone who missed it, we reached our 1000th rec post milestone just a few days into our session with a fun post by rebcake. While that was definitely a cause for celebration, as she said herself in comments every rec post is special, and her post was joined by 106 others this session. Those and all our previous posts since day one are accessible through tags, memories, or just browsing the "visit the library" view anytime someone is looking for items to enjoy.

If you haven't yet taken part in Top 5, please do, as the community is stronger for every contribution we get, and I have yet to hear of someone recced who wasn't delighted to be remembered. We'd definitely like to be celebrating our 10-year anniversary someday! But sooner than that we will be re-opening on April 1 for our all-Whedonverses (minus Buffy and Angel) session, Worlds Without Shrimp, and then again on Halloween weekend for our Classic Recs session. Hope to see all of you there!
