Top 5 "Funny" Fandom Music Videos on YouTube (uploaded 2006)

I am going by the date that they were added to YouTube. It is the only way I could tell if they were from 2006. I hope that is okay, if not, please feel free to delete. These are pretty much for teens and above.

1. Buffy and Spike video to "I Touch Myself" uploaded by BuffyAngel23. The pop up bubbles in this video have to be so funny. I laughed my butt off watching it. Edit: This was UPLOADED by BuffyAngel23 but original video can be found here

2. I'm Too Sexy uploaded by postalpichu. Oh, I could watch this one over and over again. It just cracks me up every single time. It is edited perfectly to the song.

3. Dancing With Myself uploaded by missmirk. Who doesn't love clips from all the dancing in the show? And they are edited together really well. Outtakes too. Very amusing and fun to watch.

4. I Wish I Could Go Back to College uploaded by tnjproductions. A great song from one of my personal fave musicals. The tune itself is bound to inspire some ennui but the lyrics, classic and funny.

5. Be Happy uploaded by Plunk626. No collection is complete without a blooper reel video. There are so many out there but sometimes the song doesn't fit right, the editing is off, the clips are iffy. But this one captures the right amount of fun and clips.

Thanks for the recs! I've seen "I Touch Myself" before - the "bubbles" are hysterical. But the rest of the clips are new to me. I particularly love the third, "Dancing with Myself", and the last one, Be Happy. Do you know the place where they could be downloaded?

Thanks for the advice, hon. I don't want to burden you with my problems, I'll try to do it myself. And - adore your icon! :))

Figuring out dates for vids and graphics is usually tough because they tend to be undated and archived on sites with no reference to posting dates. Looking at the YouTube upload dates was a good thought.

Unfortunately the problem with YouTube is that vidders work can get posted there without their permission (and sometimes with the credit stripped off the vid as well). It's a tricky thing because a number of vidders are using it to host their work so it's generally impossible for a viewer to know the difference. I hadn't seen 2-4 before and I believe 5 is uploaded by its maker. However #1 is definitely an older video. More importantly, I'm concerned that the person hosting it is not either of the creators. Which means that that creators should be alerted to that post. I could make a post on [livejournal.com profile] vidding which may be seen by someone who knows them. Since the credit is on the vid I don't think it's a plagiarism issue.

In the meantime, could you substitute that first link with a different vid? (Preferably one not found on YouTube). Thanks! And thank you too for posting. It's great to see new contributions.

Thanks for handling this quickly, hun. Yes, just point to the original upload. It's a great vid, and having one earlier one in the list isn't a problem so much as the permission issue. I appreciate you making the effort.

Hi -- I'm one of the creators of the "I touch myself" vid, and I appreciate your attention to this matter. It's cool with me if you leave it in your list (though maybe counter to the intent of the list, since it's not new), and I appreciate your linking to the version on our site.

Thanks for those!
"I Touch Myself" is an instant classic.
I'm actually graduating from university this semester, "I Wish I Could Go Back To College" already hit a chord for me. The lyrics are so very, very true.
"Be Happy" really cheered me up. It funny how watching pretty, pretty people smile and laugh, to an upbeat song, can do that.
