Completed, PG-13, AtS season 5. Gen. An anti-W&H vigilantes use a magic dagger - "the soul drinker" - to de-soul Angel and to avoid the apocalypse mentioned in the Shanshu prophecy. In an ironic twist of fate it's Spike who gets de-souled... Witty, sharp, inventive blend of humor, drama, philosofical musings and spot-on character voices.
Seraph by

PG-13, end of season 4 - early season 5. Premise: besides the chip in the head, the Initiative put a human embryo in Spike's belly. Yes, formally it's an mpreg fic, but it'sa so much more than that. Sharp characterizations, credible plot, great attention to details, feelgood ambience without overt schmoop - Seraph doesn't read like a fic, it reads like good prose. Give it a chance, guys, - it's really worth checking.
