Alison's multi-chapter post-"Not Fade Away" fic Retrieval and Return has the same great elements as the TV show, including humor, suspense, good characterization and dialogue, and convincing villains...with the addition of a tender, slowly-developing Spike/ResurrectedFred romance. She's also written some sweet and funny Spred one-shot fics: Fine Lines and Shove With Your Hips.

Fender's writing a multi-chapter Spike/ResurrectedFred story, too (Paper Pusher); hers is set after the AtS comic book "After the Fall" by IDW. It's another example of a long fic that feels convincingly like the TV series -- especially her hilariously bizarre family of villains! She also wrote a clever Spred fic called Automated Utopia, which placed the AtS characters in an AU SteamPunk setting.

Lilithbint wrote The Lost as a response to a request I made at the LJ community

While floundering about with the same long Spred fic I began writing two years ago, I also started a second set of stories, called the "Cycle" series. Both fic sets are post-"Not Fade Away"...and hopefully, both will finally be finished sometime this decade. ;)

Brunettepet's After Easter is an adorably funny AtS Season 5 ficlet starring Fred, Spike, and a whole lotta leftover Easter candy. It's the kind of scene I would have loved to see on the TV show!
