I'm fairly new to the Buffyverse fandom, and only discovered the fandom slash about three months ago. WooBoy, there is so much amazingly well written stuff, I couldn't begin to pick five favorites. So, I decided to just give you the five slash WIPs, I'm avidly following into 2009. [Please note, I'm really bad at summaries!]

Pairing: Spike/Wesley, Spike/Angel, Spike/OMC, minor het/slash pairings
Warnings: m/m sex, slave fic, bondage, torture, angst, violence, AR/AU
Friends locked but worth asking to read. The follow up to her amazing Coming of Age. Follow Spike's continuing journey to save the world from the disastrous consequences of Angel's rescue of Connor. The story has a fantastic and original format of telling a backstory over 70 years while also chronicling current events. Well worth the attention.

No fandom slash list would be complete without one of Ash's wonderful stories. This is a new one, but shaping up to be another one of her beautiful, original, human AU 'verses. Started in 2006 and still going strong in 2008. Non-regular updates but well worth the wait. What happens when an evil warlock uses Spike to get to Angel? An original plot and detailed characterizations interwoven with AtS season 5 canon.

So, The Initiative finally found a use for their chipped vampires, and it ain't nice, at all. Original plot, with nice appearences by many Buffyverse characters. Her summary: "What do you give a boy for his birthday but the ultimate present...?"

Beautiful Post-NFA 'verse, you can believe this is what really happened. Follow Spike and Angel's quest to heal and stay true to the mission after the alley. In this story it's the journey that counts. A perfect combination of action and quiet introspection.
