Here is a list of my five favourite fics from 2007. (I have linked to the stories at the site.)
1. Five Ways Buffy and Angel Never Meet And Never Have To Say I Love You, Post NFA bylandrews, Adult
This is a fantastic story that is by turns unabashedly romantic and gut-wrenchingly angsty. It's a story filled with might-have-been's and could-never-be's. And, um, it's hot.
2. Revenant byruined_gardens, Adult
This story (Buffy returns to LA to help Angel) picks up steam in the final half and is peppered with crackling Scoobie-like dialogue and some pretty dang good sex. This story really grew on me the more I read.
3. Split the World bysemby, PG
Buffy and Angel live (out of necessity) in separate worlds- literally. Heart-breaking little fic.
4. Here, Your Wandering One bymarenfic, R
This fic captures- without belittling it- some of what makes the B/A relationship so damn complicated and messy and beautiful and eternal.
5. Restoration bykrypton288, R
Buffy and Angel's individual experiences with an after-life inform this story and it was killer.
