5 time-travel fics

Joss swore many times that he'll never use time-travel in his stories until he finally caved for a while in Timebomb (AtS5x19). But ficwriters love time-travel stories. Why? Obviously, because Buffyverse characters change and time-travel fics are the best way to highlight these changes. Also - because it's fun and it tests authors' skills in plotting and character development.

WIP, AU post-GID. After the confrontation with Shadow Men Buffy gets back only to find herself in 2033 where vampires are accepted as members of human society. When she stakes a vampire, she gets arrested and is accused of the murder. Spike, who works in a Humanoids United organization, is charged with her prosecution. The author focuses on characters but manages to create a very consistent and logical picture of the world in 2033.

Post-Chosen, WIP. To save Spike, Future!Buffy arrives to SD and meets Spike immediately after him seeing her kissing Angel. They make love and Spike promises to believe her when she says "I love you". But instead of "ILY" he hears "where have you been and why you're smeared with lipstick?" With the first attempt going wrong, Buffy makes another one, and screws things up even more... An inventive take on classical time-travel paradox.

WIP. New story in Bittersweet Saga. In previous installments Buffy time-traveled to Victorian England, got impregnated by William and got back to Spike. Feeling robbed of wife and family, Willian goes to Halfreck/Cecily Addams and makes a wish: "I wish I could be he whom she honors and desires and loves above all else!" Much agnst ensues...
