I'm pretty sure this list has something for everyone from het quasi-sex to slashy, incestuous orgy. Yet, though the choices are diverse, it just proves that, even as the activity in the fandom wanes, hotness still comes in many forms in the BtVS/AtS 'verse.

Top 5 Newbie Necessities: Angel

Angel is a deceptively difficult character to capture. So, if you're new to Buffyverse fanfiction and getting ready to jump into the writing fray, haud yer whist for a bit and read these Essential Texts first. These writers set the standard for true Angel voices, and bring a fully fleshed Angel to the page that meets and sometimes exceeds the Angel brought to us by ME.

Mods: I'm fracturing the rules a bit because some of these weren't written this year, but since I joined the fandom this year, I figure that fills the requirement. ETA to add ratings.
