Five Special Spillow Fics!

buffyversetop5Well, since I just did a list of Willow/Angel fics, I thought I would also showcase some tasty Spillow. Once again, the fact that I can only pick five is daunting, so I apologize in advance to the fine writers I'm not listing here. (Oh, and with ONE exception, I am not listing any WIP's):
1) Burn for Me FRAO by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
emnorth: I have not included WIP's on any of my lists so far. But I simply had to make an exception for this one. This is absolutely one of the finest fics I have ever read. Not just in terms of Spillow fics, it's one of the finest fics in ANY PAIRING! Em North's prodigious and varied gifts have never been better displayed than in this tale of Willow being bonded to Spike in order to elicit his cooperation in defeating Glory once and for all. It's a tale of friendship turning to love in a way that is moving, powerful, and so believable that it will absolutely convince even a diehard Spuffy fan! Yes, it's long, and no, it's not finished yet, but it's wonderful and it's a must-read!
2) Closer FRAO bypurplefeen: This is an extremely sensual and powerful story of Willow and Spike healing each other's loneliness and falling in love. As is Feen's hallmark, there is strong sexuality here (beautifully written, but strong), however, for adult readers looking for a story that is mature on every level, this is an absolutely splendid read! Feen is one of our very best Spillow writers and this is a terrific example of what makes her so special!
3) Cheating FRAO bylilbreck: Short but powerful, this exquisitely wrought tale of Willow sneaking around on Tara with Spike is a definite classic. It's moody, opaque, and vaguely foreboding. A wonderful fic by an author who doesn't write often, but who, when she does, gives us magic!
4) Family FRAO bykallie_kat: This is a dark!fic, make no mistake, but it's a terrific one. Willow learns the hard way, and far too late, that she ought to be careful what she wishes for. This may be a one-shot, but it packs a wallop and Kallie Rose did herself proud here!
5) I'll Be Seeing You FRAO byinell: This list would not be complete without the very first BTVS fic I ever read. The fic that changed my life forever. I still love it, too. It's a nifty tale of obsession, romance, and rescue with Spike coming to Willow's aid when she's stalked by an unknown, invisible admirer. Oh, and for you slash fans, there's even Angel and Xander as a secondary pairing (some smut included). Inell may have left the fandom, but her legacy is lasting. She's a legend in this pairing!
I could list SO many more, but I have to stop at five! *sobs*
