Five classic things that changed my life

yourlibrarian et all for bringing back one of my favorite communities. Best of all it's classic recs. All of these are pre-2006 since I'm saving those to share later.
1. Two Summers Spike/Dawn bytheohara. Unfortunately, it's likely this story will go unfinished, but if you ever miss authentic Scoobie dialogue and crisp, smoking story that makes you shiver with delight, then go no further. This story had me on the edge of my seat. I'd never even considered this pairing until I read the brilliant work of teh theohara who could have written for the show, she is so kick ass. (Actually she's way, way better than some writers.) This story changed my life because I wrote my longest running story Forbidden because of it. I love her work and I hope that whatever writing gods there are smile on this formidably gifted person since she is probably one of the very best writers I ever read in fandom and I want her to write books or movies so I can continue to be her fan.
2. Bent Justice Spike/Angel bytoobusy2write. This changed my life because I read it and Willa's Piercedverse spander and thought all fan fiction was AU. *laughs* So blame Katb, but if you are going to read AU all human spangel, this is the creme de la creme. Except no imitations. Spike is undercover in prison and comes up against Angel, the macho (and hot!) leader of the pack. Scorching and thrilling reading! (Complete)
3. Changing his Religion (Spike/Xander) byeyezrthewindows. Spike can make anyone gay, right? In this delightful AU human story, radio talk show host Spike tempts thought-he-was-straight unhappy Xander into a sexy new lifestyle. UST off the scale! (Complete)
4. Mainline (Spike/Angel) byincasink. Angel is a recovering drug addict who meets mouthy and domy Spike in rehab. Spike decides he's going to have Angel, one way or another, and woos him. Hot, scary, perilous and angsty. This is still one of my all time favorite reads by teh Inca, and I reread it often. (Complete)
5. Cool for Cats manip of Spike bysueworld2003 (worksafe.) Back before I was on lj I saw this manip of Spike by sueworld2003. I knew Hellblazer and I was blown away by it. It's still one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and it says everything you want to know about 70s punk badass Spike.
