Five crossover fics that make me happy

buffyversetop5A couple of years back I did a post of crossovers. I’m a sucker for a well done crossover, and in all these cases you don’t need to know the other fandom for the story to work just fine. Here are five that I really like - BTVS crossed with five separate fandoms.
Thrift by Te and Pares is a crossover with The Sentinel. Blair Sandburg comes to Sunnydale to meet one Rupert Giles, expert in the supernatural. But before he can meet our favourite Watcher he runs into Faith. Let’s say it’s an educational experience for both of them. Be sure to have some tissues ready to mop up the brain tissue dribbling out of your ears.

muffiewrites is an NCIS crossover. Spike is threatening someone inside a jail cell, Xander is threatening a bunch of lawyers outside a jail cell. Gibbs and Co are just confused and wondering what the hell is going on. I really like the plot, the voices and the characterisation of this story. In fact, I pretty much like everything about it.
Bibliophilia byglimmergirl is Giles/Merlin. This is a lovely snapshot of young Giles with so many questions in his head, watching young/old Merlin who is so full of knowledge and a life both lived and still to live for. I really adore this.
If you want a quality Supernatural crossover, look no further than Velveteen by eponine in which Xander tracks down one of the recipients of one of Anya’s wishes. To say more would give away the plot, and the plot will blow your mind.
To finish off this little foray into crossover-land, we’ve got The Hunter and the Hunted by dustandroses. Xander is framed for a series of killings by a very smart demon and ends up in prison wondering how he’s going to cope with non-demonic monsters in Oz. I’ve never seen Oz, but I just treated the Oz characters as OC’s and it worked just fine.
I think that's me for this year, so I hope folks enjoy. That was a ton of fun to revisit old favourites and discover new ones from other peoples' recs.
