Favorite Xander Fanfiction in 2013

1) Forget-me-not by mierke: Ten years have passed since Chosen. Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles meet by the crater where Sunnydale used to be every year to catch up on what's happening in their lives. Bittersweet and sad, shows you how the Scoobies have drifted apart yet still make time to see each other and catch up. Just like blood-related families on Christmas and Thanksgiving.

2) Searching for Jim by sparrow2000: Xander and Spike having one of the most fun and interesting conversations, plus they're in an established relationship which is the Spander I'm going for lately. The last line was giggle-worthy.

3) Three Ring by brutti_ma_buoni: An AU pre-series in which Xander and Willow get to meet the big bads before they knew Buffy. It's creepy – in a good way – and there are tons of awesome lines. I especially loved the one where Illyria calls Willow a red witch and Xander thought it was an insult.

4) Traditions by thea_bromine: It's Xander's 18th birthday and as tradition goes he must get his spanking. On the other hand, poor Giles has never got a birthday spanking. He's missing out on the fun. A fun read, and I've always been a sucker for info on Giles' past.

5) Droopy Dog Will Save You by dragonyphoenix: I'm a sucker for those little Jesse missing scenes. It's one of the best and most obvious tools to develop Xander's character had Joss been using his brain just a little back then.
