I have a small mish-mash list of works that have all managed to stick with me through the year. You know, the fic you've read that keeps popping up into your conscious mind at the oddest times, or the vid that you just can't forget? Here's my short list of favourites:

Yeah, I'm cheating. I couldn't think of an appropriate 5th item, but really, this is a *fabulous* idea and an excellent tool to reaching fics/pairings/vid/manips, etc. one might not find normally. Feel free to whump me on the head if I've bent the rules too far...

Heh, a little embarassed but no whumping :> I'm glad you pointed out awmp's tutorials. I know her wonderful icons, but you're right in that a number of artists share tips and tools with each other and that's really great for everyone as the rest of us get to enjoy the results.

No kidding, huh?! Most vids I've caught are kind of...schmoopy (I love the schmoop, don't mis-understand) but this one grabs you, rocks you and leave you panting for more! Glad you felt the love, too!

*g* No biggie, easily fixed. It's interesting really, I've rarely seen vids that aren't titled the same as the songs being used. I'm guessing it's partly because songs are often a vid inspiration and partially a selling point for the vid if people recognize the song.

Got a chance to see the vid in the meantime, very apt for Spike! I don't know if you've seen the vids Closer (Spike/Angel) and Without Me(Lilah & Angel)by Sisabet and Man Smart, Woman Smarter (humor/various)by chasa? Not done this year unfortunately for my lists (though the last was remastered a few weeks ago) but if you're looking for more non-schmoopy content you'd probably enjoy them. I was going to recommend Luminosity's great "Sex on Wheels" but apparently it's not online at this time. Have you already seen her vid Whatever?

As for Spike stuff, try Dangerous by Blondie and Striptease by naty.

I entirely agree with your beautiful choices.
beanbeans ' s story , The Consort is insanely hot and captivating.
Indigo Overture is one of the most convincing human!story , and Rikki has such a wonderful writing style.
Needless to say that The way you move is my fav vid these days!!
I don't know awmp ' s tutorial , but she 's a hell of an artist.

As for the lovely ladies who created buffyversetop5 I think we can congratulate them warmly.:)

Oooo! Most of these are unfamiliar to me...thank you for pointing me in the right direction! I'm not able to access naty's 'Striptease', but I'll keep on it. *g*

Funny, Man Smart, Woman Smarter was first done (I believe) by Harry Belefonte--I have it in my MP3 list...it'll be fun to hear/see it redone. :)

YES! I didn't realize I had such a thing for PunkSpike... *waggles brows* ...but that should have been my clue-in that your "Consort" would fit the bill. Up through very recent, I hadn't read any Spike-with-a-Bite writings. I adore Spike-with-a-Heart, but sometimes, a girl needs a little monster, eh?!

Soooo not harassing, but, are there plans to eventually complete it? (You could say, "Three years from now and not a moment sooner" and I'd shut up, pout, and mark my calendar).

Heck yeah, I'm finishing it! There are 2, maybe 3 more chapters. The next one is nearly done, and my friend art_bites is working on a manip for the chapter. Don't know WHEN it will go up, but believe me doll, it WILL. :)

Heh. I had actually planned a Book 2 for that story. Now, that? I dunno if it will happen. ;)
