Why I chose this: A very dark piece but what I enjoyed most about this was the intense psychological exploration of their relationship. Set also in BtVS Season 2 which makes a intriguing change from my pre-series or post-series reading.

Why I chose this: A gorgeous writing style that feels like the meeting place between dream and reality this fic explores what might have happened if Spike and Angel had met post Africa.

Why I chose this: An ending but also a new beginning, this story goes AU from Shells to see how Angel and Spike might actually relate to each other. Really interesting perspective too.

Why I chose this: Set post Hells Bells, this fic is well-written and explores the darker side of their relationship but also, quite interestingly, the parallels between them and the places where Buffy, Drusilla and Connor meet.
