The 2011 Wish List

In a few weeks buffyversetop5 will be open for all your 2011 recs. Essays, icons, archives, anything fan made that was active or created in 2011 is eligible.

Looking for particular sorts of recs? We’ve got a number of tag and memory categories so don’t forget to browse those. But this is a special post for people to let their fellow community members know what they’re hoping to get for the holidays.

Comment below with a line or two about what recs you’ve been hoping to see. If you see requests here that you could make a post about, start putting a Top 5 list together! The more people post, the more likely everyone will find what they’re looking for. Just remember, it must be fanmade Buffyverse material created or continued in 2011.

Let’s not forget that one of the reasons for this community is to thank the creative people who have given us their work this year. Any Scrooge-like comments will be shown the door.

I'd love to read fic set during the later seasons of AtS or post-NFA (AU or not). Especially anything featuring Wesley, Illyria, Faith, Connor, Lilah, Gunn, or Angel. :)

1. I'd love to see stuff about the vampires pre-series!

2. I'd also like Spike/Other fic recs, where "other" means characters other than Buffy, Willow, Xander, Angel, Riley, or Wesley. For some reason I run across lots of those. (Though those are nice, too.)

3. Gen! (Especially Spike-centered gen.)

4. Rare characters! Bring me your Lorne, your Illona Costa Bianchi, your Jonathon, your Lydia Chalmers! Etc!

5. Fic that takes off from canon AUs (Wish!verse, Superstar!verse, NormalAgain!verse).

Recs for funny fic.

Recs for canon-based gen fic.

Recs for crossovers with The Walking Dead. And! Apocolypse fic!

I would love to see:
1. Time Travel Fics - Either Buffy or Spike doing the traveling.

2. William/Spike and Buffy pairing.

3. Historical William and Buffy pairing. Doesn't matter if William gets turned or not.

4. *HOT* and *SMUTTY* all human Buffy and William pairing.

5. Post Chosen or NFA that goes AU from canon and has a happy Buffy/Spike ending.

6. *LONG* multi-chapter NC-17 sagas with any of the above content.

7. Dust completed by KnifeEdge. :)

+ Buffy/New Life aka starting over post-Chosen

+ More Faith fics
