The top 5 best band songs are : ...

1. Lucky by Bif Naked (HLOD). We are the lucky ones, not. Parker is not going to be the new boyfriend as Buffy is about to painfully find out and Spike's quest for the Gem of Amara is going to crash and burn.

2. Sugar Water by Cibo Matto (WSWB). Buffy's fears over the Master boil over in this dance as she tries to seduce Xander and all she does is make him and Angel very angry.

3. Out of This World by Bush (DT). When we die we go into the arms of those who remember us.
We are home now out of our heads out of our minds
. The lyrics perfectly match the scene.

4. Goodbye To You by Michelle Branch (TR). Goodbye to you. Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved. The one thing I tried to hold on to
. Everything in Buffy's life is crumbling around her.

5. Wild Horses by The Sundays (The Prom). Buffy dances in Angel's arms but the party is ending for them. He's about to walk out of her life and not look back.

OK, I'm off for a while. TTFN.

Lucky reminds me so much of Spuffy. Interesting that it introduced in HARSH LIGHT OF DAY; (I made a video)

I always cry during Goodbye to You. It gets me everytime. The other one that gets to me is at the end is in Becoming Part Two as Sarah Mclauchlan sings, Full of Grace I think the song is called.

I want to add 'Pavlov's Bell' from 'Sleeper', 'That kind of love' from Entropy (Who would sell their soul for love...) and 'Blue' from CWDP. Sooo much good music. :)

Oh, great selection. I'll second that I'd add "Pavlov's Bell" on my list but I really don't know what I'd be willing to take out to replace it with!

I loved "Goodbye to You" even before they used it on BtVS, but the way they used it made me love it even more. The Buffy/Spike kiss at the end is one of the hottest on-screen kisses ever (and I'm not even a Spuffy shipper).

2. Sugar Water by Cibo Matto (WSWB).

I loved that song. Much much later I saw the band's own video to the song. Pretty dull compared to Buffy and Xander dancing!

Oh yes, "Blue", absolutely one of my favorites! And the score to Sleeper is really good as well (though that's not a song...)

I agreed with every one of your picks :)

This is why I can never do "top 5" (or 10, or 20) lists, because they mean having to leave things out. Like, say, "Virgin State of Mind" (K's Choice, from Crush), or the already mentioned "Blue" and "Full of Grace."

I'm a Libra. Choosing is hard!

Oh Wild Horses ::sniffle:: I love that song.
Excellent choices again!
