I'm just shocked someone would delete a community that had been active. I could see one being closed if no one wanted to mod it anymore, but why delete it?

I think the mod deleted their own journal as well, so maybe they wanted to get rid of all their connections to LJ? Still, too bad that they couldn't just transfer the community to someone else.

They are lots of fun, those guys. I admit to having a bias against Angel, so he is underrepresented in the above list. There must be tons of pre-soul stories, but I never seem to find them. ;-}

I'd like to think that is was unintentional. The mod very suddenly deleted her account, and this one just went with it, since it no longer had an owner. It was at about the same time as the supposed LJ "upgrade" (which I am not happy with), and several long-time users just fell off within a week. I'd like to get a similar community started, but I think there should be 2 owners to avoid the same thing happening. Not that I plan on going anywhere.

It was pretty cool. I recced a lot of stuff from there last year, and I've mostly been able to go back and re-link directly to the artists' and authors' journals, but a lot of things are just gone. *sniff*

And may I offer as a bonus fic (that kinda fits) Lirazel's Ministers of Grace (http://penny-lane-42.livejournal.com/72703.html)? It's a story that examines Drusilla's life right around being turned - "Drusilla dreams of angels" and instead meets Angelus and Darla.

It is quite simply brilliant. Though I seem to always think that of Lirazel's stories. I'm clearly biased. :D
