Top Five Xander fics:
1- In a Lifetime by
sparrow2000: Post-Chosen. My favorite Xander-centric fic for the year 2009. A rich launguage with a very powerful and sad plot about a very weary and bitter Xander. Filled with unexpected and intriguing twists. A must read.
2- The Perfectly Ordinary Life of Xander Harris by
brutti_ma_buoni: Would Xander’s life have been better if he hadn’t been a Scoobie? Such a sad and lonely tale about a Xander who's not a Scooby, someone like Jonathon, just lurking there with no direction or friends. Twists your heart to pieces.
3- Sense Memory by
xanzpetreloaded: Five senses, five women, and the memories and lessons of each as carried by Xander. This is an attempt to boil down the prose of
xanzpetreloaded's Totem to its salient points. Wonderful poetic five drabbles showing how much Xander loves, appreciates and learned from Willow, Buffy, Cordelia, Faith and Anya.
4- When Xander Harris Was a Girl... by
nothorse: Girl!Xander has always been my guilty pleasure, usually he's paired with Spike. Now, I present you one where he's paired with no one, just dealing with his new girly side. You'll have a good laugh with this one, and I love how the author divides the fic into small incidents in which Xander faces a new obstacle.
5- Heroes Still Have to Pass History by
spiceblueeyes: Very short, but so funny! Xander taking the test, trying to pass 10th grade, awesome teen Xander voice and a lovely ending. Hee.
