New policy update

buffyversetop5 will be opening for its Classic Recs session. I wanted to alert everyone to a small change in community policy.
As anyone who has been trying to compile a list likely knows, older material has been disappearing from its former locations at an alarming rate. If one still has the old URL for the items, plugging them into the Wayback Machine may well produce a copy (thanks to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tiashome for the reminder).
If that doesn't work, or if you can't find copies of the work archived elsewhere (painfully true for videos!) feel free to ask for help during Classic Recs. Normally, the rule is that only rec posts (with 5 recs) are allowed. However if you have a fic/art/video etc. search request, those are welcome as well during the Classic Recs weekend. After all, we can't celebrate it if we can't find it! Just remember, this posting period is for fan-created material from 2008 or earlier. (We'll be opening up for our 2009 session on Jan. 1).
