My Five Favourite Icons

I wish I could have unlimited icon space because there’s so many gorgeous and original icons out there. These are a few of the icons that blew me away this year.

1. by katekat1010, from the post here. This is such a gorgeous icon, the colours and textures all come together to create the perfect icon. I feel that this is such an awesome icon, even if you’re not a Riley fan you’ll appreciate it.

2. by spuzz, from the post here. I love all the icons in this post but this one particularly stands out to me. It captures so many aspects of Buffy’s character and the burdens that she carries.

3. by katekat1010, from the post here. You may notice a theme: the awesomesness of katekat1010’s icon making skills. She is so talented at capturing so many different characters and ships, and this one is a beautiful take on an awesome Spike/Xander scene in canon. The colour is so well utilized.

4. by literati, from the post here. This is a wonderful batch of Spike/Xander icons, that have been deservedly featured here already. So I’ve picked one that hasn’t been rec’ed which is a great funny icon that reminds me why I love S/X interactions.

5. by katekat1010, from the post here. I love icons of Buffy, Xander and Willow and this one is an original take on these three. It’s another example of how well katekat1010 uses colours and textures to make a unique and beautiful icon. She’s an artist who we’re so lucky to have in our fandom!

Each of these icons is wonderful, but I just love the mood of the first. Riley doesn't get much love, and that icon does him proud.
