When we laugh at bad things that plague us, we look at them through the perspective of gods and have more freedom to deal with them. Spuffy relationship has always been plagued by impossible odds and incredible hardships. If we're able to laugh at them, Buffy and Spike are OK. Smile, people!

Throw in a lasso, a mechanical bull, an acid-spewing sewer beast, top-shelf whiskey, an elk head and a Journey song, and the sex just writes itself. Nauti at her best. Dialogues are stellar. Sometimes despair is conveyed so beautifully that you’re irresistibly drawn and in the end happy to have been. Dark S/B is good when it is luscious dark.
We're entering deeply moving territories , with some sparks of hope here and there,of course. ;)

Partly because he was afraid if he did, she would simply disappear. Like Orpheus leading his girl out of the underworld, so very desperate, but forbidden to look back at her.
