Top 5 Spuffy Permanent WIPs
Oct. 31st, 2008 01:00 pmThis post is somewhat nostalgic for me because these were the fics I was reading early on in my lurker days before I had an LJ or was writing. Each of these stories are excellent and although they are permanent WIPs, you won't be disappointed with the plots. They range in chapter length from 10-47. Most written during or prior to 2006.

"A Dying Dream" by Europanya was updated in February of 2008. :fingers crossed:
You are correct - all are worth reading even incomplete.
Happy Halloween.

Date: 2008-10-31 06:16 pm (UTC)Did Europanya purge her journal? I went to find the fic there and it said it had been deleted. Same goes for her personal site. I could only find it on an archive. Did something happen to her? I know that she was having health problems when she originally stopped writing. I also loved her Shards (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2387044/1/Shards_A_Series) Series. Those shots were amazing!
I'm going to try and post a few more of these Classic Spuffy fics. There were so many memorable ones for me and quite a few that influenced by own writing, like Kindred. *happy sigh*

These are all wonderful recs and worth reading even in this unfinished state.

Date: 2008-11-01 02:54 pm (UTC)Unlike some people who are vehemently against WIPs, I still really appreciate all the craft that goes into those stories. Things get in the way, interest is lost. We should just be grateful for what is shared with us.

Date: 2008-11-01 03:09 pm (UTC)I'm sure people have lurker lists. Unless you're active on LJ or an archive, it's difficult to really offer feedback or get to know authors. I don't think the importance of commenting hits people until they're able to participate in an interactive fandom environment.
And thank you for hosting this Classic Rec session. It's been great fun seeing what people come up with.
