Five Spike/Spangel-centric Fan Vids

Great Buffyverse fan vids continued to appear in 2007. Here are five of my favourites. They're all Spike/Spangel-centric, as I guess you might expect.



First off there's two from dualbunny, my favourite vidder.

Tragedy which sets the events of Spike's dramatic life to a BeeGees soundtrack with hilarious and touching results.

Then They Can't Take That Away From Me, a Spangel vid with music by Ella Fitzgerald, once again very funny and beautifully put together.

Then there's Boy From the Mouth of Hell by stormwreath, which sets footage from all Spike's major relationships - with Drusilla, Angel/Angelus and Buffy - to a Pogues song with very appropriate lyrics. The last few moments of this always make me tear up too.

danegen is a new vidder (or new to me anyway) and I only watched Ruiner the first time the other day, but I had to rec it here. Set to a Nine Inch Nails song, it cleverly intercuts footage of Angel with Connor and Spike, exploring the darker sides of his relationshiips with his son and his adopted son (or protege, if you prefer).

Finally, there's another look at Spike's life by charmax in Still Breathing, a Duran Duran song, which is kind of a retrospective of his whole existence.
