OH dear god, there’s nothing like an epic to really make a girl shudder. And this lovely, almost dark and yet never really painful, story will probably pick you up and keep you hopping to it’s tune. It’s set in the days before the final battle with Wolfram and Heart, and kicks off with this fabulous little ficlet that will leave you drooling, but develops into a kind of twisted tale of love and redemption for both Wes and Angel, with Spike thrown in. Warnings? BSDM of the best kind. Angel’s the dom. Spike’s his family, Wesley’s his.

TBQ goes on this wonderful indulgent AU ride where Wes is a courtesan that's been bartered to Angel (in a post-apacolyptic type world where Angel's building an empire of good demons to hold off the forces of evil). But really, it's all about coaxing this wonderful sexy hesitant yet compitant version of Wes into sex, it's these fantastic moments of Angel+Spike snark, it's yummy, it's sexy, it's... GUH.

Why you should read this? Well, the first arc of this tagfic was actually completed (and like all of the fics in this list there's plenty to get into) and WOW is it fantastic. First off, Wes doesn't die in NFA. Neither does Angel. LG & Bead create a fantastic post NFA world with the Watcher's Council, with Giles, with a whole new set of challenges everyone has to face. And Wesley has a lovely set of side effects from his final confrontation as well... which make for some truly steamy moments that are worth every word.

I can't believe I've never recced this here! This series is one of my all time favorite re-reads - I run back to it even though at this point I'm familiar enough with the whole thing to tell the story to myself (practically). In a time when Tara is trying to build her own life without Willow (it's post-Tabula Rasa), and Spike is trying to figure out what the heck to do about his love for Buffy, they become unlikely friends and then ... something glorious. Miss M is actually more known for her fantastic Spuffy fics, but she does a fantastic job with a difficult pairing and has always left me wanting more. And since she's still writing in the Buffyverse, who knows, if she gets more feedback about what's completed she might consider writing more of the 2nd arc!

One of the most enthralling Buffy/Giles that I've ever read, with this amazing OC that arrives in Sunnydale when Angelus is on the lose (and never makes her alligance clear). This fic, unfortunately, really does stay WIP since Tevye's out of fandom (and has been for years), but MAN it's good. She has some wonderful ideas about Giles' early years, his strength as a Watcher, and just where he got trained. And it's a Buffy that's growing up and growing into her power...
