My Top 5 'Spike as Slave' fics..

They are as follows....

shapinglight (Now completed)
Setting: An AU, glass-darkly version of AtS season 5, though the plot also diverges in various places from points earlier in the series. Pairings: Spike/Angel, Spike/Wesley
Rating: Very NC17 and containing the following bits of nastiness - non-con and semi-non-con, sexual torture, medical kink etc etc. This started off as your 'normal' Slave fic, and then zoomed off into something quite unexpected and epic. A superbly written piece of dark fiction that I highly recommend.
This fic has it's own ljglassdarklyuk where it's posted. You have to friend it to read posts there. Highly recommended. Fans of this will be pleased to note that the sequel Age of Unreason is currently being written.

2) The Grey area byshylahmask (slash Spike/other, implied Angelus/Spike) WIP
Set somewhere around "Destiny." A man takes advantage of Spike's uneasy relationship with Angel.
This is turning out to be a real favorite of mine at the moment. It manages to hit all my kink buttons even though there's hardly any sex in it, and the 'cherry' on the top is that it's very well written to boot, even though she's a new writer on the scene. Recommended.

3) The Chain byirfikos.
A wonderfully dark fic, with one of the most convincingly 'broken' Spike voices that I've ever read, and her Warren is superbly creepy too. A must read.

4) 'Five thing's the chip was never marketed for' bysangpassionne.
It's a collection of short ficlets revolving around the premise of what might have happened to Spike If things hadn't gone the way they did in season 4. Wonderfully written and deeply disturbing.

5) 'Doll'. By Chris Geary-Durrill
A very sad ficlet once again with the theme of what might have happened to poor Spike/demonkind If Maggie Walsh's technology had been allowed to develop. A horrific new twist on slave fiction which manages to take the 'slave' to a whole new level. This one never ceases to upset me when I read it, but as with 'five things' it's quite beautifully written. A must read...really!
