Top 5 of My Personal Favourites

Not really a theme here, just five very, very good stories.

Sock Puppet Spike/Xander, Xander/OC NC17, by [livejournal.com profile] shadowscast, a wonderful, heartwrenching post-series story, in which Xander encounters a very changed Spike.

Stick-Shift Redux NC17, Spike/Buffy, by [livejournal.com profile] stultiloquentia, short, beautifully written and very, very erotic.

Subtleties Spike/Xander, NC17 by by Anna S - started off as an indulgence fic the author began when bored, but, in the hands of one of the best - if not the best writers in the Buffyverse fandom, turned into something so much more.

What She Deserves, Spike/Buffy, NC17, by [livejournal.com profile] herself_nyc. Written before season 7 aired, a very different version of Buffy's first meeting with Souled Spike, written with this wonderful writer's usual great sense of place and understanding of the characters.

On the Rocks Angel/Spike, NC17, by [livejournal.com profile] frimfram, a wonderful, evocative story, set on the New England coast. Spike and a Shanshu'ed Angel meet up again and make a connection.

I completely agree with you about Subtleties, it's one of my top Spander as well. In fact, I think I'm gonna go read it again right now. *g*

I've got to say those are among my all-time favorites as well.

This makes me want to re-read each one. Again.

I love your comments on each fic. I haven't read "Stick-shift Redux" so it's nice to have something new to look forward to.
