Despite the fact that I saw Serenity later on in the year, I did manage to catch a few Firefly/Serenity/AtS/BtVS crossovers. Here are my Top 5.

Why I chose this: Who helped Simon get to River anyway? Enjoyable ficlet that makes a great suggestion about how the fight goes on for some of our heroes.

Item Title or Description: “Dead Haul Cargo” - WIP

Why I chose this: A wonderful and at times hilarious story that takes in the crew of Serenity as they fly through space, all the while with a rather annoying (but loveable!!) stowaway vampire on board, who possesses a certain Cockney swagger and street-fighting charm. Great ensemble character voices too.

Item Title or Description: The Anti-Obvious (Anya/Inara)

Why I chose this: This fic creates stories within stories, locating Anya as she dies in California and is reborn once more. Wonderful detail and imagery, and a real lyrical feel to the story.

Why I chose this: A wonderful, mystical feel to this story is also contrasted with spot-on character voices. Anya also has some wonderful world-weary pearls of wisdom to impart too. Highly recommended.

Wow, lots of pretty icons there. I actually have only 2 Firefly icons at the moment so that'll come in handy!

And I'm curious about the Anya fics too. Plan to come back to these.

Yes, that post of icons was very good. As I was trying to find that particular icon, I kept finding more and more good ones! Not enough posts left now ;)
The Anya ones are really interesting - both very contrasting in style but very memorable.
