These are five of my favorites from this year, five that struck me most (that I can remember. It's been a long year!). I chose them for imaginativeness or just the pretty, in some cases.

Heh, and I was also going to do a list of my favorite buffyconfessions, so... ;D (I quickly discovered that there weren't that many I liked, lol.) 2011 was all about Tumblr, and it's wonderful to be able to celebrate that. :)

It's not a bad thing! BA is incredibly evocative when it comes to the angst and the fluff alike, and I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of BA art I've made has also been cutesy or just depressing. (I've actually been doing a series on Buffy's face on my Tumblr recently, and I've noticed that her smiles are almost always the ones I want when she's looking at Angel. So much simple happiness there.)

The first couple seasons were the most innocent ones, so it makes sense that Buffy's smiles would reflect that. That she's smiling at Angel is a happy bonus. ;)

I'll have to look through your art archive. I want an icon that touches on the happy side of B/A without hinting at the angst... that means no IWRY, no Forever, no Surprise.... There's really few scenes to choose from. lol

Every now and then we get smiles like that in the later seasons (Hells Bells is perfection) so I'm used to them being a rare commodity. Angel seems to bring them out in her just as often as he brings out the waterworks.

There are some nice BA asides in later S3. Choices, (early) Enemies, Earshot... I don't often make icons but they're usually quick and simple and I'd be happy to whip up a few. :)
