Five favorite (mostly) angsty shorts of 2016
Again, Forgetting by
velvetwhip (aka Gabrielle) or AO3 link. What if getting a soul didn't make Spike just temporary crazy? And Buffy was the one who had to deal with it.
The Sun Rises by
baphrosia (or AO3 link). Don't want to give any spoilers for this Buffy/Spike ficlet, but it really feels like an end of the world.
Guardianship by ScienceOfficerWillowRosenberg. This one is pretty light on angst, for a change. It's a post-Gift story where Spike and Tara talk about Dawn. Damn, why we never got their conversation like that in canon?
Bittersweet Symphony (The "Nobody Singing to Me Now" Remix) by
sroni. What if after Fred's death Wesley found himself a reason to live?
Steps on a Journey by
gillo (or AO3 link). Spike has a long way to travel, and lots to think about. Think, not brood. Definitely. Have you ever wondered how he made his way to Africa?
