rebcake asked for pre-series fic focused on Darla or Dru, and I'm happy to oblige (though I doubt I can offer anything new to her). All stories rated PG to PG-13 (yes, I'm shocked, too!)

Traveller by selenak. Darla might not know the rules yet, but she had always known how to make men break them. Darla and the Master, in the beginning.

Better, Stronger, Truer by Foxinator (foxstarreh). Wasn't it funny, that the undead loved better, more strongly, and truer than any humans history had ever known? Spike/Drusilla, Darla/Angelus.

Ministers of Grace by Lirazel (penny_lane_42) (or here is AO3 link). Drusilla's backstory, as dark as you could expect.

In Pursuit of the Appropriate Man by lillianmorgan. Darla and Drusilla in Rome, in 1860s.

Venus and Mars by Glassdarkly (shapinglight). A young gentleman encounters two mysterious ladies in the National Gallery, London, in 1874. (I'm sure rebcake knows this story already, but I just must to include it. It's the absolute classic and probably the best Darla story ever written.)

Oh, thank you! There ARE some here with which I'm not familiar. *rubs hands* I'm not sure I agree about Venus & Mars, though, but only because shapinglight has got quite a few others in the running for "Best Darla Fic Ever!"
